ABOUT THE CUSTOMER

A large telecommunications provider in Australia has a broad Oracle ecosystem consisting of several business-critical applications running on the Oracle technology stack. 

With over 2,500 employees and more than $3 billion in annual revenue, the company has worked with BSC since 2012. BSC has provided support and consulting services across the Oracle based enterprise application portfolio.

THE PROBLEM

The company needed support with providing enterprise analytic and reporting capability across business units. 

After an initial failed implementation attempt from a third-party vendor, the project risked being cancelled.

THE SOLUTION

A completely new POC environment

Engage with BSC to establish a workable development environment. Setting up test and production environments. 

Instead of trying to fix an unknown quantity of items resulting from the inexperienced implementation skills of the previous team of consultants, we chose to set up a completely new proof of concept (POC) test and production environment in four days.

With a working POC environment in place, the company was able to proceed with configuration and development activities.

THE OUTCOME

Acceleration added due to demand

The POC was so successful that four additional business units requested dashboard deployment for their respective subject areas. The initial planned deployment was for one dashboard for one subject area.

Due to overwhelming demand from users on the company’s database, operational deployment for the system needed to be accelerated. 

In the end, BSC delivered a powerful platform to the company that consolidated the analytic reporting platform across multiple business units.
