Founded in 2004, after Mark Burgess noticed a gap in the market to help customers solve problems around the complexity of implementing and managing enterprise class database management platforms.
Originally specialising in Oracle database solutions, our range of services has since grown out to cover other platforms like Microsoft SQL and AWS.
With our origins in providing specialised consulting services, we have grown our service offerings to provide managed services and hosting for our customers critical application platforms.

Founder & CEO
Mark is the Founder and CEO of BSC. He brings over 20 years of experience working with enterprise platforms across three countries, in industries as diverse as healthcare and telecommunications.
Mark’s IT knowledge and industry relationships have earned him respect across the industry. His passion for creating maximum value for his customers has seen BSC work on some of the largest and most complex enterprise technology projects in Australia.
Mark believes that there are huge benefits from unlocking the value of data and having well implemented and managed database platforms can offer huge benefits to both organisations and society as a whole.
Mark enjoys spending time with the family, outdoor activities and reading the latest thrillers.
Sandra is a chartered accountant and the financial controller at BSC. She has worked in the company since 2009.
After 10 years working in accounting and management roles in the private sector, Sandra joined BSC to assist Mark in expanding the business. In addition to being the financial controller, she also looks after the HR side of the business.
Sandra graduated from the University of Western Sydney with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting in 1996, and obtained her Chartered Accountant qualification in 2001.
When she’s not at work, you’ll find Sandra playing board games with her children, reading a good book or training at her local gym.
Lorraine joined the BSC team in August 2011 as a Senior Consultant and has more than 20 years of platform engineering experience with Oracle.
Lorraine’s primary responsibility is providing technical delivery across project and support activities. Her attention to detail and experience means she is adept at finding solutions in enterprise application, database and infrastructure platform implementation and support engagements.
Lorraine is also responsible for operational support activities across the BSC customer environments and thrives in seeking out opportunities to increase the operating efficiency of the technology environment.
When she’s not at work, you’ll find Lorraine working on the latest DIY project or taking her dog for walks on the beach.
